Babe Watch - Amanda Owner of Launch Hive Creative
This week's Babe Watch features Amanda, Owner of Launch Hive Creative. Amanda entered my orbit through...you guessed it...Instagram. I can't remember at this point who started following who but I assume whichever direction it had a lot to do with the plethora of women business owners we share in our circle. Now, I am so excited to get to share Amanda with all of you!
Amanda owns The Launch Hive Creative where, according to her Instagram bio, she works to "help service-based entrepreneurs use strategy to build their brand + elevate their aesthetic in order to make more money." Don't you love a service business that actually spells out their service?! So refreshing! In sum, Amanda works with clients to help better their websites, social media postings, and overall branding. And, speaking as someone who has several friends who have utilized her services, she has a unique skill set that makes her stand out from other brand builders pushing their products to you over the internet...she is the real deal.
In addition to her more defined services, Amanda's freebies and social are FIRE! She shares raw information that is helpful to entrepreneurs through infographics, lists, and the occasional reel and meme to keep things fun and light. Amanda's approach to her business makes her stand out from the crowd. But, she also has a great eye for design and aesthetics that truly make her a well-rounded partner to help excel in your branding.
If you are a service-based biz owner looking to up your branding and find more clients, I highly suggest checking out Amanda! And if you want to know a little more about Amanda the person, check out the details below!

Why Did You Decide To Start Your Business? I decided to start my own business because I did not feel fulfilled at my 9-5. I always knew that I was meant for more and after becoming a mom and wanting to be able to spend more time with my daughter I knew I had to do something. I finally took the plunge in 2018 when a friend and colleague put their trust in me to design their website.

What Does Your Typical Day Look Like? Wake up early to get a few hours of work in before my daughter wakes up. Make her breakfast, play a little, and help her get ready for the day. Try and squeeze in some more work or a possible zoom with a client before taking her to school at noon. Take her to school then come home and clean, plan dinner, work some more. Building websites, strategy sessions, and creating brand identities. Pick her up. Make dinner. Possibly work more if I need to. Eat dinner + watch a show together as a family. Ohh and of course some reality tv on my nights that it's on lol.
Who Are Some Women That Inspire You? (Globally and Locally) Kristen Cavallari- Beautiful, badass working mom. Cat Shapiro my friend and client from Thyme & Honey. She honestly works her ass off. Laura from Shop Ferne and the empire that she is building. What Was One Huge Business Flop or Problem That You Had to Endure and How Did You Handle That? Last year I "launched" a course that I spent months creating, I recorded dozens of videos, made workbooks, invested in software the whole works and it totally flopped. I had 2 people go through the course but I had a HUGE goal that I put on myself with that launch that I did not meet. I was devastated and started questioning everything. My worth, my business, if I should just give up....it was rough. I took time away from social and reflected on the whole thing. I discovered what the problems were and now almost 8 months later I am developing another course that already has a dozen people interested before launching. We have to learn from our mistakes, pick up the pieces, and come back stronger than before!
What Accomplishment Are You Most Proud Of? I am so fucking proud that The Launch Hive is still here almost 3 years later. Drink lots of wine 🤷♀️. This is definitely something that I lack BIG time. I have started to incorporate 10 minutes of journaling each morning to help get my thoughts and racing mind under control. Lavender essential oil is also a good friend of mine.
